How I make - gold a day [Guide] youtube. I agree, Jeez my job looks easy compared to all of this I guess I will stick to getting my legendary GS and Dagger in lol.

I've lost gold rolling my pre - I'm determined to roll it Eventually , and have been trying since I first started the game Bought on release. While running 8 accounts is a bit too extreme, I like playing the market game tho.

It's like playing the stock market with virtual money. Sometimes it's gambling with virtual money. Haha luckily my job is making games. Editing this post because it's right near the top What I explain in the video: I'm using 8 accounts to craft 8 lots of swords at a time. This is swords total in the time to make The reason I do this is because swords sell so fast, due to mystic forge GS pot luck, that I can craft all day and never miss out on gold.

When I receive all the materials for the first lot of swords, I start crafting and order the second lot of materials. This helps me keep my eye on what's coming in and going out of my system.

I've tried just buying mats willy nilly but I often make mistakes. When I am ready to craft the actual sword part, I craft on all accounts, then starting with the first account, I list them on the TP, craft the next lot, move to the second account, list them on the TP and craft, move on to third and all the way to the 8th.

I then go from 1st to 8th again. This ensures I have no downtime waiting for crafts or the slow TP interface. I'm undercutting the lowest slayer by 1c because the aim of the game is to get those swords through the TP asap! I can craft upwards of 16k swords a day in about hours.

The total gold gain I make is between and g. The path for the settings file is changed, using a unique file name for each instance; a special flag is also added, causing Windows to delete those files as soon as the game is closed. This is why you have to enter login information each time you start the game using MultiWars2. In case you're NOT using the standalone game mode, the permissions that are used by Gw2. This is due to avoid corruption that would be caused by having multiple processes writing to the same file.

When you enter an instance, the game writes there that is why the game crashes if you don't use the standalone mode. The event that makes the game single-instance is renamed once for each instance, allowing you to start multiple copies. The above modifications are not only temporary because they're done on RAM, not on disk , but are also targeted at code that resides inside the Windows DLL and not in the game itself actually, i'm just changing the parameters that are passed to functions.

This tool, IN NO WAY, automates tasks. The only advantage you have by using it is the equivalent of running the game on many different computers or Virtual Machines. I would also like to remind you that the source code is publicly available, and that you can read it if you have any doubt. Many thanks to Mechgamer for making the video you sure are a power-gamer! I think he meant Flight simulator, or Dev Hunter or maybe The Hall of Tortured Souls. I don't know how to feel about this. Part of me is impressed that you put the effort into having 8 accounts to do this and being so efficient about it.

The other part of me is a bit sad knowing this is the best way to make gold in the game without actually even 'playing' it. Running dungeons isn't the best in GW2, or any form of farming in general, playing the TP is.

Sounds just like real life. Only the bankers and the currency traders make serious money, mostly being parasitical on the rest of the people. Just a reflection on how games with market places start looking like RL. Please note that I first had to make the gold to use a second account and so on so fourth.

The initial g was the hardest and I was at hours played by that point. Thank you for the feedback. How did you make your first g? I have been playing off and on since beta but I bounce around between alts a lot and I am a pretty casual player. I wouldn't mind a better way to making money. I am at work and can't watch your video yet but I am hoping there is something I can put to use on a smaller scale It was using this method but on one account.

It was a lot faster to make g because the profit per sword was nearly 8s and it was cheaper to make so I could make more each time. I started with 50 at a time, then , then so on so on. I also started exclusively with carrion large bone krait slayers. For some reason it took em a while to start using other t5 materials.

When i got to g I crafter infinite light in a day and then stopped playing for a few months. I've been on and off crafting from then until now. And now I'm hanging up my hammer. I just realised how I replied before. I meant the g using more than one account and then spoke about my very first g.

My first g using multiple accounts was pretty much the same, on a few clients and then expanding as I got more gold. Haha, sometimes this one bugs out after 7. The gfx card has reset twice. But it seems fine now. I am one of those people that are fed up Basically the only way to make the money and not hate playing the game running dungeons over and over infinitely to make money is to play the tp. Yeah, GW2 is a casual MMO.

Having something like a legendary that requires non stop grind doesn't really fit everything else the game has to offer. I know people make their own challenges but you can do that in any game.

Son of a b.. I was using Virtual Box to run 2 clients. Wish I knew about that program sooner. They always sell eventually. I use a spreadsheet to calculate how much it will cost, how many I can craft, what the profit per sword is and total. They are also linked strongly to the cost of ectos and how many rares are available from drops. That said, mid week seems lower than weekends as you'd expect because more people are playing. It's better to buy mats in the evening, and rebuy in the morning because prices drop through the night usually.

Considering you've been doing it for a month, with this many accounts, why choose greatswords as opposed to time gated ascended materials? While I could make ascended mats as well, it's not worth it in my eyes to start crafting up to them.

The initial investment would be too high now. People who think he should get banned for multiboxing should chill out. I am impressed, well done. Hi guys, just wanted to share my gold making technique I've used for the past year. I'm happy to answer any questions about it here. It is insane, which is why I don't want to do it anymore, so I'm sharing with the world! Update to some questions: While yes you could go afk, I don't actually move from my computer.

I don't use any macros. I don't send more than one keystroke per action. I am multiboxing as per instructions on the official forums. Hope this answers some of the current personal messages and questions in the thread!

Thanks again for looking. I started with an initial investment of around g for this in particular and added accounts as and when i got more, eventually I had g per account and then g per, which meant I could rotate crafting. This time I had 2. You can start with about 30g on one account though, just takes a while longer as you can imagine. Could you give us a short summary as a comment? I think I didn't understand everything in the vid because english isn't my main language.

Just by watching, I feel the bulk of your profits come from the sheer scale of your operation. This, in itself is really hard to replicate which is probably what is turning people away from this.

You can do 2k swords a day easily on one account. If you really get to it you could make 6k maybe, but that's a lot of time doing nothing else. You said in the video that all markets essentially work for this technique in your video. I don't think I will enter the GS market myself personally, but where I struggle with this concept is Not a numbers person how do I know where I should be making my buy orders for T5 materials and then I sell around 1c different from the lowest offered weapon of 'x'?

Hi Grungehamster cool name , Not all markets work like this, you can craft like this for all crafting markets, but not all work in this way. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. Yes if you can figure out any market place cost for crafting and reselling, undercutting by 1c ensures that you get the most return if you are undercutting. The reason I suggest undercutting is to get your gold back as fast as possible so you can do this all again.

Ten Ton Hammer | Guild Wars 2: How To Make Money #2

That is pretty much the main part of it. It's my prediction but of course people have their own opinions and suggestions as to what will happen there. No problem at all, take care! I considered crafting before, but never imagined the market was as big as this. You're able to sell thousands of swords per day?

Most profitable crafting profession? How would you rank them? : Guildwars2

Although I'm done now. I got it to work, I made a little gold now I'm going back to enjoying life playing games with my girlfriend and our friends Train 'em in the art of trading warfare so ye can form a formidable cartel that'll wrestle control over millions of items I did, my lady made a nice g herself just doing this on the casual.

With only one account though. All I need is that damn Dawn, I have been trying your methods and am very slowing eeking my way up there. Thanx for the information!! About 6k this month. I have already bought loads of items, so i dont know if its still profit: If I could justify putting the time, effort, and money towards this, I'd do it, but GW2 is sadly not the only game I play.

P Props to you for doing this and sticking with it. When I was introduced to GW2 on the last beta weekend I was really hopeful for the whole concept of "playing how you want. The anime Sword Art Online just came out, it was one of those real people get stuck for real in an MMO and if they die in game they die in real life stories.

Aside from some players that would try to get out by playing the game, and there were others that decided they'd just stay in town and do trade professions to earn a living. So I was intrigued upon hearing that players could literally level to 80 solely upon crafting in GW2. Though crafting ended up being completely different from how I imagined it would be, I do appreciate that there is an alternative way to play the game.

It makes me incredibly sad that the most profitable ways to play this game by dramatic magins is to sell items on the TP. It makes me even sadder to know that gold buys almost anything in this game. It didn't bother me as much that people made fortunes in WoW on the auction house, if I wanted loot I earned it by actually playing the game.

People who do techniques like the ones in the video are able to access every expensive item in the game with a shrug of their soldiers and people who enjoy playing the game grind an uphill battle to scrounge together the gold to acquire items.

I really wish ArenaNet would rework the item acquisition methods to be more gameplay oriented instead of throwing everything on the TP and letting the power traders have first dibs and dictate the markets for others to acquire them. It's one reason why I was so attracted to GW2. The very fact it's a global market within the game. How everyone is connected to each other. If it helps, the character I started making gold on the TP has had easily hours sitting around playing on it. I don't have 10 legendaries but I do have a nice pot sitting for me.

I enjoy playing the game as well, this Is why I shared this technique because I want to stop doing this and play the game normally, enjoy the beauty of the art direction and gameplay in the game. The TP is boring. Seriously, this is the best answer to all the TP hate: The problem is, people that do this stuff directly affect people who don't care about it.

If they haven't already, I'm sure the prices of T6 materials will start to skyrocket, until people find out the margin is too small to be profitable.

It will go back into equilibrium for a while, but there will be that small group of people who will do this, keeping the prices of T6 components artificially high. They drive up T6 material prices BUT they drive down precursor prices. Additionally, that money goes right back to players who sell T6 materials on the TP.

It's pretty hard to say if speculation has such an impact on everyone's everyday life. Derp, I meant rares, not precursors, but it's not outside of the realm of possibility that it would drive down precursor prices in lock-step. They are not 'artificially' high, if the prices were artificially high it would imply someone is buying them en mass and hoarding them to create demand where materials are not being used. THAT is artificial inflation.

In reality, the T6 material costs are being raised by the people who are buying rares or legendaries, who basically fund operations like the OP's. What this basically means is that eventually it is people who efficiently farm gold from the game dungeon runners, event chains, whatever that set the prices for materials based on the gold that they are able to funnel into the end products.

The amount of gold that someone like the OP makes is always going to be dependent on how efficiently people are farming gold from the world map, because they ultimately determine both the supply of his T6 mats and the demand of the end products. How much do you have currently? I know I keep saying I'll never farm again, but sooner or later the gold runs dry. For me at least. You are getting an awful lot of naysayers to this comment and I just wanted to chime in and say that I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I don't care if people that play the TP can earn mounds and mounds more gold than those that do not -- they should because of how much of an investment it is. I don't even care if they are able to afford a lot of cool stuff with the gold, they did earn it after all.

The problem I do have is that as you stated, almost everything cool or awe inspiring in this game can be purchased with gold -- which is exacerbated by the ability to convert gold to Gems. The coolest looking and most impactful loot has in other games always been a display of your skill or ability at the game.

In Guild Wars 2, anytime I see a legendary it's hard not to assume the player earned it via playing the TP -- this makes me respect them as a player of numbers, not a player of Guild Wars 2 -- and this seems so backwards to me, and simply feels so against the game's manifesto of Play how you want.

If you're playing the TP, you're not playing GW2 to earn money, you're playing a numbers game. Real profit is either in unknown, niche, longterm or painful methods. I'm sure ArenaNet would care more if you could turn a Trading Post quality of life improvement into some kind of Gem Store update. However much fun i think automatic trading will be i still don't think it will be worth it, then the market will really shrink and playing the game would have even less effect.

Isn't that always, inevitably the case in every game? TP can get you a percentage while gameplay will always be capped. As far as I'm aware, the most profitable way to play any game with any kind of market is to buy low and sell high. It's a game, people will pay gold to save time, and what the power trader is doing is effectively giving up their time that could be spent playing in order to research markets and sit in towns all day. That's why it will always be profitable: Further, gold does not buy everything.

Gold won't buy you ascended trinkets. It can help circumvent the gameplay requirements, but if you fulfill those requirements they're essentially free. Titles and achievements are linked to gameplay, not gold, generally speaking. I made well over 1. Don't see the difference really. After capping 8 characters I stopped playing all together haha. Also when I first read your comment I thought it was going to be an ad for making money. Started with prospecting, and gem cuttting. But mounts are available in raiding too.

Think tummlykins has a point, WoW offers a ton of opportunity for loot by just playing. In GW2, gold can get you soooo much that is is pretty much the only currency. Personally, I have 5 legendaries, full ascended armor, all minis, blah blah blah, and all I really want right now is that endless fractal tonic. It is my sole reason for playing the game at this point, which is good because if I didn't have it I would simply ignore the game until ANet released new content.

I also want the tonic, am on Personal Level 24, have hours played on my Ranger, 0 Legendaries, few minis, and 1 piece of ascended armor Lost gold trying to roll my pre. Dungeon armor requires you to actually do the dungeons in question though, at this point, idk if anyone would be "jealous" of that.

Fractal weapons, and special skins like Tequatl weapons I hope we get more like those. Meta event rewards, though the only really "hard" one so far was probably the Liadri mini. Fractal weapons, Tequatl weapons, most of the back items such as Mad Memories, Light of Dwayna, Wings of the Sunless, THIS , prestige pets like Lliadri, etc Fractal weapons currently are now common as fuck, Teq weapons is pure luck so not really up for discussion, because I can just go on a run that I don't really have to do much other than spamming 1 and get it, or you can go to teq runs hundreds of times being the biggest contributor and never get it.

Dwayna back can be mostly bought. There are tons of people willing to sell runs. Mmmm, "tons of desirable" is a bit too much in my opinion.

Think people are missing my point a bit. In GW2 it is hard to tell what people have earn because so much can get done with gold or pure grind. I really do not care for loot, but I see what the previous comment was referring too.

How to make gold in Guild Wars 2 - Method 7 - Crafting

It's probably harder to tell for casual players that aren't familiar with the skins, just as is would be hard for a casual player to tell what mounts were raid rewards in WoW. Yeah because Precursors, Ascended, Colours, these don't all drop, they're just from the TP. To be fair, Ascended weapons are a LOT easier to get if you have a shitload of money.

Buy the time-gated non-account-bound items and you can make them very fast. But thats just me. I think it's perfectly fine, what you're proposing we might aswell get rid of the market entirely. Nothing is stopping you to play as they do as it's an alternative means to an end, some people like you enjoy grinding monsters while others prefer playing the market. But why does it bother you? GW2 is a game where these is very little actual "progress", once you're at max-level.

On a character-level, that is. As such, having it all buyable from gold hardly matters to me. You're buying as much as buying flasks in WoW made a difference. That being said I hate Ascended for it's better stats. It really enrages me that this was added to the game.

Guild Wars 2 Forum - Crafting - Can I make money Cooking or Armorsmithing?

If Exotic gives you of a stat, Ascended will give you - The difference is almost negligible unless fighting an opponent with identical skill. That's really not the problem.

The difference makes even less of an impact once you include the base stats. The problem is that the weapons also have increased base damage, and the armour increase base armour.

I hate MMOs with market economies, some aspects of the game feel more like a job than a escape from reality. But copypasting the same generic MMO over and over is waaaaaaaaaaay easier than doing actual game design.

As for the first point, that is just a necessary evil of ANY market place that does not somehow limit TP activity. Anet taxes their TP really heavily to limit just how profitable this activity can be, but the alternative to having something like this would be a stagnant economy with wildly varying prices.

It adds consistency to other methods of farming. But the problem is that the only way to make it available to "players" first is to make it tied to something like drops or boss fights, which limit how many people can access it, which is a problem to their mostly casual user base. I use all of them except potent blood vials. Large bones, potent venom sacs and intricate totems seem to come in fastest, but really if you check out all 6 of them, you can put in orders for whatever is cheapest.

I use all 6 because each time I'm ordering 60, T5 mats. On one hand, this just further goes to show that the serious money cannot be made traditionally, which is seriously disappointing when you look at how much tediousness can go into aspects of the game that are supposed to be rewarding Arah being the example I always use. It also shows that playing AH stands to really make most "rewarding" content pointless by comparison.

I wonder if Champion trains will die down with news like this out there On the other hand, it's commendable that you put so much work into this to determine a method that is legitimate yet still earns the most bank. I'd of never thought of something like this. I really wish I could get into this sort of stuff It'd make getting the first legendary a lot easier a goal I haven't even bothered really trying for because even thinking about it just burns me out.

But if I had 1k gold to start out with, I'd probably just end up making the legendary. It had occurred to me that this would be possible, but I knew that showing this would tread on toes so I didn't want to take advantage of people as well.

Thanks for the share. I cant see myself doing that even for 1 hour. And my computer would die instantly with just a 2nd client running. How much did you make in total over the entire time you've done this? And, what did you eventually do with the gold? Legendaries, more expensive skins etc? Wont this last forever? I mean due to the mystic forge it will always work and it doesnt matter how many people will do it now.

Too much comment now, so I might have missed it, but what time period was covered in the recording? How long does it take to do a full cycle from buy, collect, craft, and list everything? As someone who constantly puts massive amounts of buy orders out for items, that spam click the place order button trick is amazing! Wish I would have known this sooner.

Or do you do that manually and then decide what to craft? I made about g in a week crafting and selling Corrupted weapons before their prices crashed with the Ascended Weapons update. Each Corrupted Avenger netted me about gold profit. Might not be much, but I thought it was pretty cool, considering I found this myself.

I would never become this insane to do this, but I think I should stop vending all my mats lol and maybe I'll pass the 50 gold mark again. Haha, I used this exact method on one account since mid-November , even used a spreadsheet to track my profits. I was making k greatswords a day but some days it was not very profitable due to market fluctuations.

I'm kinda mad that this is out there but I haven't played in months, though I think I still have 2k inscriptions sitting in my inventory Now that I think about it, this might be the reason I quit the game.

Everything got so boring and it felt like if I wasn't crafting all day I was wasting my time. It's a good method but it burns you out quickly. And great that you share your way on making money. The only problem with that is the same as every other Guide out there. If you make such a thing public people will abuse that so hard that its at some point not profitable anymore.

And its so easy that almost everyone can do it. I've used this exact process on one account in the past, bought my first spark with the profits.

This is exactly what I have been doing for the last month or so. Got up to 3k gold. Except I only use one client. I actually did something similar, though not quite as profitable. However, my method does not make you take a risk. I am using the GW2spidy API to scan for profitable crafts based on the buy orders rather than the sell orders.

It does seem that your method takes a minimal amount of risk due to the number of sell orders being fulfilled so quickly. I will most certainly try it! I will most certainly try i. You had to code that by yourself right? Did you focus on certain items or on a profession as a whole? Do you think the look of the greatsword would help you profit more? I know you were saying people mostly throw them in the forge, but do you think people would also buy greatswords for the look?

Also, Carrying all that gold must be heavy! Feel free to send me some to eh C Letting the expensive pc system run consumes electricity, your lifetime and you cannot use it for something useful during that timespan.

D Most of the good-looking styles on Gw2DyeJob don't even include very expensive items so what do you need all the gold for? This is hardcore, thanks for posting. I doubt you have to worry too much about the general populace encroaching on your method though. What hardware is required to run 8 instances of GW2 on one computer?

Shame it will probably become not that effective anymore after somuch people gonna reproduce it D: I take comfort in the notion that there is no EASY way to make that much gold per day. Play the game like a job, get paid accordingly is fine. Jeez, my first thought after watching this was: You are running 7 accounts. I'm not sure how this isn't mech abuse, but in any case, you shouldn't expect your average gamer to want to bother with this. Then I crafted swords. Seeing stuff like this as well as the "I'm throwing 10, gold into the toilet FOR SCIENCE!

I've played the game since release and possibly only ever had g income. I have g now which is just from casual game play and selling all blues on and rares on BLT. I salvage greens for luck. I guess you could say this is money gained by playing the game properly. As you can see the working man is a sucker: What are you saying when you say '8 rounds of Are you referring to mouse wheel rotations? I'm always worried that there won't be enough demand for the markets I find to be profitable.

I'm particularly interested in insight on how to figure that out. Just wondering you did this for over a year? What did you do woth all the money? I mean if you would sell all this gold it would be more then you can make with a normal job. While this is really impressive, it shows how Guild Wars 2 has set up their gold making to fully reflect treating it like a job, and that is depressing.

How much do you typically put in for the buy orders on your mats? How far below the "buy now" price do you usually shoot for? How long does it usually take for these orders to be filled? I guess I'm just trying to figure out how to set orders that can be filled in a realistic amount of time while not overpaying. If there is more than 2k T5 mats I bid 1c over. If it's less than that, I match the current offer price or go lower depending on where the next wall is.

For mithril ore and elder wood log I do the same but for about 15k ore. Anywhere from seconds to about 30 minutes. Yes, I've had k mithril ore sold to me in less than five minutes.

Dailies aren't the best thing to do in WoW, playing the AH is. I play gw in order to play gw dammit. I think people are more fed up than shocked! On to the next thing: So what was the reason behind using that many accounts?

Doing dishes at the moment: Is it a matter of calculating the total cost of materials vs.

Last one, with the arrival of precursor crafting, is this market completely gone? Thanks very much if you can take a minute to answer my questions. Kids love farming mats. Ballpark estimate if you don't know exactly. I think people truly don't understand the point you made with: Meanwhile the rest of us are playing GW2 to earn money and getting shafted for it.

can you make money crafting in gw2

Make a suggestion thread on the official forums and I will contribute! Maybe we need to start by suggesting a change to suggestions!? Notifies you when an item you are selling has been undercutted! I find it gives me the opportunity to browse Facebook whilst playing.

There are plenty of things that must be obtained by some means other than gold.

can you make money crafting in gw2

I don't think you even play this game. For those who are actively playing we know exactly what those skins represent. And ability to convert those s of gold into Gems. And especially the weapons make quite a noticeable difference.

At the end of the day neither system is perfect, and it is what it is. He is now making thousands of gold by selling mithril for 60c. Also, now I know where the hoards of mats I'm selling is going: I've been wondering what to do with my seven extra accounts. To the people complaining if its efficent or not: He just wants to be nice so respect that. I will most certainly try i You had to code that by yourself right?

I wouldn't be able to do it myself but good on you for making so much! This isn't time efficient because of: A You don't play the game, but do boring work. Just kidding, thanks for sharing and do whatever you like. A But I'm happy! I have 15 accounts so cant use this trick for 7 accounts How do you have 15 accounts Couldn't even make it home.
